Disabled parking ( There is limited parking available on site and plenty of free parking on surrounding streets).
We have considered access requirements for patients at all of our surgeries and ask that if you have any special needs please let our staff know at the time of booking so that we can help and ensure you get the same support in the future.
There is good access for any patient with disabilities to be seen in most of our consultation rooms. If the room is not appropriate for your disability or is located on another floor, then we will ensure we find a different room to accommodate your needs unless the site is equipped with a motorised lift (Rothschild House in Tring and Gossoms End in Berkhamsted).
We also have wheelchairs located at each site. These can be borrowed if you need to assist transferring a relative / friend from your vehicle to the surgery and back again. The wheelchair must be returned at the end of your visit to our surgery, immediately after you have finished. We do not allow these to be borrowed or taken away from the premises as they need to be available at all times to manage any sick patients on our premises.
There are designated parking bays at all sites and there is good access with ramps or wide/automatic doors to allow for wheelchairs.
There is a hearing aid loop at each reception desk. These are portable so can be used in the clinical rooms with the doctor or nurse; please notify the receptionist or clinician you are seeing that you would benefit from using a hearing loop when you check-in and we will happily make these arrangements for you.
Guide or Assistance Dogs are welcome at the surgery but we ask that you be aware of other patients who may have an allergy or fear of dogs.
If you have any other disabilities which you feel we need to know about, please do let our practice know in person, by phone or email patientservices.rhs@nhs.net.
